Maulden Church has an annual tree festival, and in 2021 the dabble group had a good old brainstorming session to come up with something different.

We knitted little winter clothes (or crocheted and sewed) and added them onto a garland.  We then went for a different idea for the tree, and collected boxes, many deconstructed and turned inside out so they were plain brown, and also used green and gold where we could lay our hands on them.  

The WI generously cleared out wardrobes for nearly new winter clothes, and each box was filled with a selection of the same sized clothes.  Labels attached for the size of the contents, so they could be distributed to those in need.
