I cut 4 rectangles of fabric approx 16" X 13" - 2 pretty ones and 2 for the backing.

You will need a long strip 5 inches, full width of the fabric, and another in either the same fabric or another see my photo.

Round the bottom corners of them all.  The top and its inside you need to cut the pockets I will a template to cut them.

Rights sides together and sew the cut out bits,  Trim the seams with pinking shears, so you get a nice crisp rounded.  Turn right side and and top stitch, I added ricrac

Make a fabric sandwich - back outside upwards; pocket upward on top.  The back lining with outside upwards on top. sew all the way around leaving the top unstitched.  Trim the rounded corner seam

Turn right side out.
